Episode 69: State of the Union play-by-play

listen here

Longest episode yet as we dissect and make fun of G W Bush's State of the Union address. You be the judge if it was worth doing-or if it would have been better left undone.

But, if you can withstand the 90 plus minute extravaganza-you certainly deserve a prize...I don't think I could go through it again!

Episode 68: New intro, plus Hamas election stuff

listen here

All in all, a bad episode-so bad that it had to be aborted mid-term. But, I decided to post it due to the emergence of the precious new intro featuring Baby Snooks.

But, a few good points were made about the recent Hamas election, and more on the NSA spying crap-so it's not all a waste.

Episode 67: More mining disasters, review of '24', and looking at hot chicks online

listen here

More mining disasters...I mean, come on, it's a friggin' MINE!

Uncle Dan had the hiccups, the cat was meowing, and we were looking at pictures of women online. Also, if you ever wanted to hear Adam Curry poop (as well as another famous personality), click here.

Plus, we review a show we obssess about, '24', which has returned for a fifth season. Although the show is getting more and more rediculous, we watch nonetheless-as it is riveting.

Episode 66: The return of Osama, plus I forgot to delete the false start

listen here

As I forgot to delete the pre-show banter for a few seconds, you get a rare behind the scenes look at the making of the show (not much), plus Bin Laden has returned-and we wonder...why now?

Plus, Karl Rove is an asshole (just in case you didn't know).

And, we will continue to keep you updated as the news media seems to be getting us all primed up for the upcoming war with Iran, as it seems every day there is a new story about their nutty president whose name I can't spell.

We live in Nazi Germany!!

Well, ok, an exaggeration...or not??????????????? Read this article. The goddamned Bush white House just thinks it's either invincable, above the law, or something.

Honestly, this is NOT the country I grew up in, nor the country that the founding fathers envisioned.

Bush is turning this country into a police state...and no law will stand in his way. And, if Google does submit the records to the government, then all may be lost.

Look for a podcast over the weekend-along with some re-tooling of both the blog, and the podcast-we gotta juice this thing up some.

Episode 65: The Drudge Report Game

listen here

We play the Drudge Report game. You can play at home too. Just go to the Drudge Report, and see who can first detect the right-wing spin.

Also, we are being geared up for a confrontation with Iran, which will pit one disturbing version of the apocolypse against another-equally idiotic version of the apocolypse.

Face it, us poor peons out here are subject to the whims of religious fanatics-be it Christian (Bush) or Muslim (Ahmenijad of Iran (sp?) and Bin Laden).

Plus some other news bits as well.

Episode 64: The Hajj, music, and mine disasters, and more Howard Stern

listen here

First we discuss the Hajj, and why folks get trampled there. And, we discuss Howard Sterns first week on satellite radio, and his guest George Takei (plus the hilarious 'Arnold Schwarzenegger' call). Plus, Uncle Dan remembering his radio past.

And, that discussion leads us t the terrible mine disaster last week. Did you know that the government has fined Howard Stern about 200 times more than the mining company.

Episode 63: Sack, sac, and whatever else to start 2006

listen here

How cold will January be in the W.C.? Can Abu Snookums totally kick the smoking habit? Can conflict simply "exist"? Is Uncle Dan manic-depressive? When will Garrison Keilor retire for good? Did I spell his name correctly?

We probably won't answer those questions, but, I will go ahead and re-link Episode 61 for you from WZRD in Chicago.

Episode 62: Happy New Year

listen here

Abu Snookums has returned...has a bit of a cold, but he is up for podcasting! Hopefully Sirius Radio can send me money for showering them with praise.

Also, Ariel Sharon's stroke, Pat Robertson being his usual psychopathic self, and that Iranian looney tune.

And, sadly, the city of Cincinnati seems to have dropped the ball on the mosque bombing back in December-but at least it turned out better than the poor miners in West Virginia.

And, we end the episode with some parenting anecdotes from Abu Snookums playing with his son at the swimming pool.

Episode 61: Uncle Dan at WZRD Chicago

listen here

I was in Chicago over the New Year and got to spend about 30 minutes at the WZRD microphone. As you can hear I was quite exited to be back on the air. We chat at length about Radio W.C. and politics and whatever.

Big thanks to Kevin, Effie, and Shaun (for allowing me to babble over a bit of his airtime). Also thanks to Yahale, Bob, Tanya and Renee for a great time back in the Windy City.

Will be back to "normal" with episode 62 with Abu Snookums and our regular antics.
