Episode 82: Music, politics and other crap

listen here

On this episode, we talk about music theory, radio talk shows, Brazilian Bikini Wax, the arrival of spring, among tons of other stuff.

We really didn't have much of a plan for this, but in the end it kind of came together.

Do you think it might be a fun idea just to have Dick cheney be President for a few months just so everyone can laugh at him?

Episode 81: Radio W.C. Returns

listen here

We are back after a short break with the news of the guy in Afghanistan who was in danger of being killed for converting to Christianity. Plus, hat hot Bin Laden chick...the Middle-Eastern Paris Hilton?

Also-anyone want to call NBC regarding last week's episode of ER? The Hollywood elite should at least do a bit of research.

Finally-we want to know what is up with solar power, and how cheap it is. Write us and let us know what the deal is.

Delay

Yes, Radio W.C. is on a short holding pattern. We should be up within a few days bringing the usual fun and info. you expect.

We are just having a bit of a problem with our provider at the moment-delay in communication I do beleive. So, just wanted to let you know that we are still here, and should definitely be rollin' in a couple of days.

listen here

The sad story of a woman in West Chester who was deported for the unpardonable sin of working at 'Popeye's'

Plus, Sean Hannity has Howard Stern on his show-and how this is evidence of the upcoming neo-con depseration! At least we hope.

Finally, Isaac Hayes quits South Park because they were insensitive to Scientology-boohoo!

Episode 79: Radio W.C. has A.D.D.

listen here

It was late at night and it seemed like we could not keep focus. A fun episode-our first tangent is explored within seconds of the beginning.

Topics covered: The movies Ray and Walk the Line, Reese Witherspoon, Abu Snookum's college days, Nirvana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ken Burns' documentaries, the History Channel, and our seemingly never-ending series of Abu Snookums trying to single-handedly end racism.

UPDATE: It seems that Jay Bannish, the Colorado teacher who was put on leave for daring to teach honestly-will be reinstated on Monday.

Episode 78: At war with the Anti-Hippies

listen here

We are going to get a write-up in the Dayton Daily news, and through that I found out about a right-wing podcast in Dayton found here. You'll need to listen to find out why they suck.

One reason that they suck is that they don't like activists. To which I say, well, you'd be happy with a dictatorship.

Also, more about the war in Iraq and race relations yet AGAIN.

Episode 77: More on knee-jerk reactions, race relations, Alex Bennett, and Baby Snooks

listen here

Don't just jump in with folks you sympathize with all the time. We on the left need to police ourselves as well. Call it self-imposed therapy or whatever...

We are just some guilty white boys tryin' to understand race relations, and at some point-we just won't get everything-such as a display of cornbread or black-eyed peas at the grocery store for Black History Month.

Also, sadly, it seems like things are getting worse for Muslims in America and around the world, but, did you REALLY need us to tell you that?

Bonus appearance by Baby Snooks and mama-we wanted Baby Snooks to stay, but he opted to go with mom.

Freedom of speech under attack

There's a big stink over this teacher in Colorado who is spreading "Anti-Bush propaganda." The student who complained recorded a portion of a class just after Pres. Bush's State of the Union address. Here it is, from the local news webstie for your consideration.

Now, is the lecture anti-Bush? If giving an excellent demonstration of applied critical thinking is anti-Bush, than it is.

Is it anti-American? If anti-American means teaching students to value all peoples and national interests as equal-than it may be.

Anti-capitalism? Shouldn't a well rounded student be exposed to the pros and cons of any political or economic system?

At the end of the recording, he stresses that he does not care whether you agree or disagree, but he is just trying to give students some critical thinking skills. And now-thanks to the student (who asks predictable neo-con type questions) he is being investigated by the district, and may even be fired.

The skill of critical thinking is lacking in America today-which is one of the reasons that we have an idiot like Bush in the White House.

Rather than being fired, this guy deserves a medal.

BTW, at the beginning of the video is an ad-I have neither positive nor negative feelings about Frontier Airlines. Therefor, I cannot endorse them, but, I have yet to hear of one crashing, so, I guess I'd fly on it if it had the best fare.

More podcast fun coming soon!
